Completed project!
I wrote about fannish emphemera a few weeks ago. While I have been writing every day, binge-watching TV shows, and teaching my classes online, I still have a LOT of time on my hands, especially during the TV watching. So, inspired by my latest TV obsession, The Untamed, I picked up yarn with colors that reminded me of my OT3 from the show, Jiang Cheng/Lan Xichen/Nie Mingjue. I finished my Jiang Cheng/Zidian inspired scarf today! Aside from blocking (which, let’s be real, I’m probably not going to do) and weaving in the ends. Not sure what I’ll do with the scarf. I don’t need it, so if someone wants it??? Let me know. ;-)
It’s not very fancy. It’s all garter stitch, and the yarn is self-striping, a single Caron cake (check out the results of yarn chicken). I saw a scarf on Twitter that has colorwork sect symbols and quotes from the show, and they are impressive.
I need to finish a baby blanket I’m making for a friend, but then I’ll move onto my Xichen scarf.
