General Update: Waiting Intensifies

I just have a few things left to grade. Fifteen more sleeps til I leave Minsk (well, more like 45 given that I wake up at least 3 times per night lolololol). I have an appointment for my pre-flight PCR test (ugggggh I hate them but I want to go home). I'm making plans to carpool to the airport. I have a hotel room booked for my long layover in Istanbul. I figured it would be safer than sleeping in the terminal, plus I can get a shower in the morning and safely take my mask off for a bit in the room. There is a STARBUCKS in the Istanbul airport! I know it's pathetically basic, but I've missed the familiarity. Today is my nephew's birthday, which I'm sad to miss, but SOOOOOOON I will get to see him! And my niece! And my mom! And the doggos! And my best friend! And I'll get to have tacos!

I am really trying not to get too excited, but it's been such a heavy year and I'm so tired.
